Cody and Luther were kids in high school who used to come to the juke joint and sit in the corner, petrified of interacting. But I didn't look at Junior and R.L. as giant heroes of the blues. I looked at them as living continuations of Fred McDowell and John Lee Hooker and guys like that. It was a cultural experience for me. Jason Ricci
