We were developing the script right up to, and through, the first weeks of filming. I'd rehearse, then instead of being able to go back to the apartment and relax, I'd have to go to a script meeting or check one of the sets. It was hard, but it was really satisfying. I would love to produce something without also having to be the lead actor in it. I said at the wrap party, 'This has really been a wonderful experience ... and I never want to do it again!'
