We had one customer that chose Mexico over China. The two were within a percentage point in landed costs, but all of the customers' engineers were in the northeastern U.S. The one-hour time difference to Mexico was important. When they have issues with manufacturing, for seven out of eight hours of the shift, the engineers are on duty too. It is also easier to travel to Mexico for a couple of days. David Cooper
