It really is remarkable how turkeys have flourished in Michigan. When all of this first started, it was believed that you needed vast areas of timber which was exactly what we had in northern Michigan. But then it became known that turkeys could and would thrive in broken farmland. That's what southern Michigan has and the population has really flourished there. Al Stewart
