I think there is a danger, when shows succeed, that people start to try to pick them apart and find out the secret to them. And the fact is that a lot of it is lightning in a bottle. It's the combination of a multitude of elements. So I think when you start to say, 'OK, why did Lost work? Why did Desperate work?,' there's a danger in trying to imitate the elements of why that worked. Stephen McPherson
